You look at the New Testament and the Church is not invisible any more than you are, any more than Christ is. If Christ is not invisible, if he is a concrete, historical person, and if he invites Thomas, ‘Touch my wounds and see me,’ instead of, ‘Retreat into your own invisible piety and decide to believe in me,’ then the same has to be true of his body. Your body can’t be less visible than you are. If Christ is visible, then his body is visible. This notion of the merely invisible Church is not scriptural.

It is said: It is not the burden only that weighs you down, as much as the way you carry it! God gives us just enough light, just enough clues so that those who truly love him and seek him will find him, and those who don’t won’t. What determines our eternal destiny is not our IQ but our love.
—DR. PETER KREEFT from Seven Reasons to Be Catholic When the hand of God comes down upon the world, it always begins by coming down on the Church first.
Bishop Sheen If you’ve done wrong, own up to it. In fact, even if you haven’t done wrong, find a way to make amends. Throw yourself on the floor and beg for a blessing. Then let the whole thing go.

Otherwise, religion is sentimentality and emotionalism, melodrama and entertainment, self-worship. Many say: We want religion but no creeds! This is like saying: We want healing, but no science of medicine, music, but no theory, history, but no documents- all self-made for me, by me! Religion is indeed Life and Alive yet it grows out of Truth, it is Divine Truth Revealed to man, it grows out of Truth, not away from it.
Based on Bishop Fulton Sheen Freedom, when it is understood from a Christian perspective, unlike that is proposed by certain philosophers, has as its purpose not only the choice among certain or many possibilities; its essence is the power to choose the good as such, above all God the Father, the source of all that is good. To be free implies an ability to identify ourselves with God, finding the meaning of our life in communion with him. Hope in Jesus, therefore, includes our freely
given reply. —GERHARD CARDINAL MÜLLER from The Cardinal Müller Report It has been said: It makes no difference what you believe, it only matters how you act. What nonsense! Man acts out of his beliefs! Our Lord place Truth or belief in Him first, then comes sanctification and good deeds. Truth is not a vague ideal or a feeling or symbol, but a Person. Truth is Lovable, because Jesus is Love made Flesh, only a Real Person is lovable, esp. a Divine Person. Holiness and sanctity becomes the response the heart makes to Divine Truth, the assent of the mind, the consent of reason, the obedience of our love to Divine Love, because we see and feel and live the Love Divine Mercy offers to Humanity.
Based on words of Bishop Sheen To combat evil . . . is to fight with love for all men, including those who are less good. It is to put goodness in relief, so as to make it more attractive, rather than to propagate evil by describing it. When the occasion presents itself to call the attention of society, or of authority, to some evil, it must be done with love for the person to blame, and with delicacy. Do not exaggerate; do not go into detail about the evil any more than is necessary to remedy it.
—ANDRE FROSSARD quoting Saint Maximilian Kolbe from Forget Not Love: The Passion of Maximilian Kolbe I have never understood how Western countries, with negative rates of population growth and ever-increasing rates of life expectancy, do not recognize and sustain the will of those few who, very generously, are inclined to form a large family. On the contrary, those who should be the object of our admiration are irrationally treated with negative mockery or discriminated against with unfair indirect taxes, when they should be favored with special social policies, because even from the point of view of self-interest, those children are our future, and it is they who will support the elderly of tomorrow with their economic contribution.
—GERHARD CARDINAL MÜLLER Justification by faith alone tends to lead to a more lenient view of sin in the Christian’s life. This shouldn’t surprise us. How could it not? You may see the beauty of holiness, you may understand the importance of good works in your life and obedience, you may understand the damage that your sin has caused to yourself and those around you, and you may want to grow in holiness. But, obviously, if you don’t believe that the sins you commit could ever lead your heart to be hardened, such that you might fall away and lose your salvation and not enter Heaven, if you don’t believe that, you’re not going to take sin as seriously as if you did believe that.
—KEN HENSLEY from Luther and Salvation: A Catholic Response Luther viewed this doctrine of justification by faith alone to be so important that he declared, ‘This is the doctrine by which the Church stands or falls.’ He referred to it as ‘the summary of Christian doctrine’ and ‘the sun which illumines God’s holy Church.’ Luther interpreted all of Scripture in light of justification by faith alone and he was willing to question the divine authority of any book—even books in the Bible—that he felt did not clearly teach it or contradicted it. Luther was willing to toss entire books out of the New Testament that he thought, at least for a time, contradicted sola fide.
—KEN HENSLEY from Luther and Salvation: A Catholic Response If we knew the depth of our poverty, we would not be at all surprised by our falls, but rather astonished, and we would thank God, after sinning, for not allowing us to fall even deeper and still more frequently.
